*Winter is upon us! Please make sure your child dresses for cooler weather and brings a coat to school every day. Don’t forget the hat and gloves!

*I have attached an online survey on Brookport’s webpage.  Please go online and take the survey.  This information will help me with future decisions about our school.  I’ll send a letter home with students and once you complete the survey, send the letter back with your signature and the students will receive a prize.

*We are still collecting box tops and Campbell soup labels.

*We are having a Family Movie Night on Friday, February 6 from 6:00– 8:00.  Popcorn and drinks will be provided.  You can bring blankets and pillows and wear your pajamas.

Principal's Message

Welcome back! Hoping everyone had the time to relax and rest up. Here at school we are ready to make 2015 a year filled with success through hard work and dedication by providing students with

daily opportunities to grow. The hard work is the responsibility of us all  teachers, students, staff,

families, and administrators. I know  together we can make learning an

exciting venture!!

Each newsletter includes a “SPOTLIGHT ONSTUDENTS” section. If there is something your

son/daughter is involved in (in or outside of school) that deserves recognition, please share your good

news an e-mail  information to Mrs. Durham or have your son/daughter drop it off in our  office.

We have a new Brookport Bulldog Mascot. He will be at all of the ballgames cheering along with the

crowd. The school voted on the name of the mascot.  Each class submitted a name to be voted on. Each

 class chose the following name:

1st Grade-B-dog

2nd Grade-Sparky

3rd Grade-Buddy

4th Grade-Brutus

5th Grade-Spike

6th Grade-Buster

Mrs. Schawel’s class-

Blue dog

Mrs. Julie’s class-Spike

The school voted and his name is Spike. Please come out and support our basketball  team, cheerleaders

and now our mascot– Spike the Bulldog!
